NICO AKA EURO8000: wuchs im psychopathischen Todesghetto von Berlin-Hermsdorf auf und lernte schnell, dass ihn die anderen Kinder umso cooler fanden, je mehr Scheiße er ihnen erzählte. Nach diesem Prinzip schreibt er noch heute seine Texte. Er ging nie in den Kindergarten, da sein Vater, ein Croupier, nur Nachts arbeitete und so auf ihn aufpassen und ihn in die hohe Kunst des Glücksspiels einweisen konnte. In der Schule war Euro8000 der festen Überzeugung, dass er sich ausschließlich mit älteren Mitschülern abgeben müsse. Um anerkannt zu werden erzählte er diesen, dass er auch ganz viel kiffe und ficke. Irgendwann flog dieser Schwindel auf und er musste sich gleichaltrigen Schülern anschließen. Als Euro8000 15 Jahre alt war, fing er an zu rappen und schrieb besserwisserische Lieder, da er sich für besonders schlau hielt. Als er durch den Putsch eines Terror-Regimes in Südamerika genügend Geld für ein BVG-Ticket verdient hatte, fuhr er nach Kreuzberg, schloss sich Maxim und seinem damaligen Homie MTK an und wurde dope. K.I.Z. wurde gegründet, Geld gemacht, Hoes versklavt, Royalbunker aufmerksam und die Weltherrschaft in Angriff genommen.

“Nachts im Osten” ist die Diplomarbeit von Mediendesigner Daniel Breuer. Geplant ist daraus ein längeres Feature zu machen, Ostdeutsche DJs vs. Westdeutsche DJs in den 80ern. Ive Müller war damals “Wald- und Wiesen-DJ” mit eigener Anlage, zusammen mit Rüdiger Pusch (Ex-Geschäftsführer der Moritzbastei Leipzig, jetzt GF im Krystall Palast Varieté Leipzig) “on the Road”. Seine Einstufung war die einfachste um als Discjockey in der DDR arbeiten zu dürfen, dafür musste man die Prüfung vor der FDJ und einer Jury machen (im Club Rabet in Leipzig 1988). Zum spürbaren Hip-Hop-Einschlag der Doku meint Ive “Wir haben natürlich auch Hip-Hop gespielt, aber auch alles Querbeet, Charts, EBM, Wave, Elektronik, Discofunk, Italodisco etc. Der Hip-Hop Track im Abspann ist die TJ Big Blaster Electric Boogie (aka Electric B) `Full Electric`, war so ca. 1988 ein Clubhit in der Zone. Der elektronische Track ist Rational Youth `Dancing in the Berlin Wall`. Das ist Zufall mit der Musik, der Zusammenhang zwischen Hip-Hop und Electro ist aber schon recht eng aus den 80er Jahren.”
